Q. What animals do you accept?
We care and sit for any and all pets:: all breeds of dogs, cats, birds, fish, pocket pets, horses, cows, pigs, goats, snakes, lizards, domestic, farm, livestock and/or exotics.

Q. What kind of experience does the pet sitter have and some general information?
The owner/ petsitter has a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from the University of Florida and is Animal Psychology certified. She has owned, bred, trained and worked with almost every and any kind of animal possible. She has over 55 years experience of owning and loving pets and livestock. She has grown up in South Florida and has been a resident of SW Broward County for over 38 years. She is an retired member and leader in Boy Scouts for over 13 years. She makes continual donations to the Humane Society of Broward County and the Wildlife Care Center. She currently lives with 3 dogs, 2 house cat, 2 parrots, 3 fish tanks, a horse and several barn cats.

Q. How much notice do I need when I make a reservation?
If you are a new client, the earlier you call the better because we must schedule an initial consultation (Free Meet and Greet) before we start your service. Once you are an established client, a week in advance is typically enough time. However, if you need services for a holiday, please call or e-mail, to request service as far in advance as possible. Holidays book up very quickly so please book early!

Q. How many times a day should I have a pet sitter come visit my pets?
Many animal behavioral problems are the result of isolation, boredom and insufficient exercise. For your pet's comfort, it's best to have a minimum of two visits per day for dogs; three visits would be ideal. One or two visits per day for cats are usually sufficient. Other pets, such as birds, fish, and other small animals will vary.

Q. How long is pet sitter visit?
Our visits last a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes and can be provided at any time of the day you prefer - morning, midday and evening. If pet sitter stays overnight, visit generally is similar to working hours, arrive around 6 pm and leave around 7 am but times can be tailored to your personal needs.

Q: What are your hours?
Luv Ur Pet Kare services are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We work out of our home so just contact us via phone call or email. If contacting via email please in subject area write Pet Sitting

Q. Do you administer medication?
We will administer vet prescribed medication only — pills, drops, fluids and injections are at no additional charge according to treatment needed. We will not administer medication to any animal that poses a danger.

Q: What is the initial consultation and do I really need it?
The initial consultation is very important. This is when we meet you and your pets so your pets and you will be comfortable with us before our service begins. At this time we will review the information you have provided to us in your forms and discuss any special needs or concerns you may have. You can introduce your pet's daily routine to us and, for shy pets, you can show us their favorite hiding places and let us know any habits they may have and what to look for. We will go over any medical special needs, and learn where you store the food, toys, litter box and or leashes, etc. The meeting will take 30-45 minutes.

Q. Do you have references?
Yes, references are available upon request. Testimonial page will be added to web site in future.

Q: How are payments handled?
We request payment upfront on the first date of pet/house sitting, as this is a small family run service business. After you and your pets are regular customers you can just leave cash or a check for us in your home at a place we specify together.

Q: What if I need to cancel my service?
Once services are confirmed, we dedicate time to you and do not overbook. We understand your plans may change and we generally do not charge for cancellations with adequate notice.

Q. Why do I have to call when I return home?
For safety reasons, we will continue to visit your pet until we have confirmation that you have arrived home. If we have not heard from you regarding your return we will make a visit to ensure your pet's comfort and regular schedule are not disrupted and the appropriate charges for the visit would apply. No matter what time you arrive home call us at 954-559-3312 and tell us you are back.

Q. What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured while I'm away?
Though this situation is rare. We would follow the emergency information provided on your forms and contact you immediately.

Q: Are there any complimentary services with pet and home care services?
Yes, the initial meeting (Meet and Greet) is free.  Most of our services when we pet sit are complimentary including: giving meidcations. trash/recycle take and bring back, kitty litter cleaning, dog walks, etc.  Check out our services and see if you need anything done additionally.

Q: Who will have access to my home?
The only people who will have access is Luv Ur Pet Kare.

Q. Do you offer a referral discount?
Yes, when you refer a friend and they use us you can receive $10 off your next weekly booking. This is our gift to you for helping our business grow and showing the faith you have in us.  Just let us know you want to use the discount.
